Community-Based Residential Facilities (CRFs)
Community-Based Residential Facilities (CRFs) provide structured, stable housing for those on conditional release from federal, provincial, and territorial institutions. Residents are connected to a comprehensive support system to enable a successful transition back into the community. Individuals at CRFs are supervised by Correctional Service of Canada.
Supportive Housing
Supportive Housing programs provide housing and person-centered community and living skills support for people facing diverse barriers and challenges. Residents may live in a Connective housing program, or a community setting. Supportive Housing also includes programs designed for those under the care of Community Living BC (CLBC), and these vary in levels of staff support and supervision, depending on the unique needs and preferences of each resident.
Homelessness Prevention
Homelessness Prevention programs connect those experiencing or at risk of homelessness with safe, affordable housing and wraparound supports. These programs assist people to navigate barriers to adequate housing, provide tenancy support and skills training, and can offer financial subsidies for basic needs.
